Tribal Inspiration

River Island fashion

Stealing some tribal inspiration from this season's catwalks, I've put together an easy to wear summer look that will take you from drinks with the girls to that holiday night out.  This style is great for a huge range of body types from diamond to apple and pear shapes as the printed skirt creates a slimming illusion effect around the hips.

Summer Vibes

Draped, floaty styles for many body shapes, can be tough to pull off  but when it's done right it can be extremely sophisticated and give an effortless Summer look. I picked up this tunic top from River Island recently which is essentially a crop top with a beautiful long lined chiffon layer over it. I loved the texture and how incredibly soft it felt against my skin, and at the same time I was quite curious to style it in a flattering way.

Prepping for Summer beauty haul!

Summer makeup trends

For me, with the brighter weather and prospects of sun I tend to add lots of peachy tones into my makeup bag. I find its a great way to achieve that healthy 'just back from holiday' glow. I've picked a number of my current favourites for this post and as some of you have emailed me recently looking for beauty bargain finds you will see some beauties in here too!

Forest Inspiration

This week I wanted to play around with neutral tones. Last weeks outfit post delved into the khaki trend for this season. Today, however, I'm just dipping my toes into it with simple light khaki shorts for a smart, Summer look. It's something that works great paired down also with some flat sandals for a more casual vibe.

Next #ShoeBoxJukeBox Event

Last week I was in London for Next's #ShoeBoxJukeBox event to take a peek at their current shoe collection for Spring/Summer. Prior to the event we were all asked to pick shoes as we would have our personality depicted based on our tastes by style psychologist Kate Nightingale . It was something quite personal and such a lovely idea for a brand to do for everyone who attended.

The Utility Jumpsuit

Earlier this month I posted a photo on Facebook of the Mollie King for Oasis collection and since then I've been eager to check it out. The piece that caught my attention the most was this utility inspired jumpsuit.  Utility styles and khaki shades are a big trend for Spring Summer 2015, so a jumpsuit is a great way to nail the two trends in one. Below is a full review of it's fit and style.
