The Black Tie Event

November and December are two extremely popular months for black tie events, from graduation balls, to formal office black tie dinners. It's a time which is all about evening gowns and glamorous looks. This can be an expensive time too so I've put together a selection of looks from the best value to the luxury.

The Blanket Scarf

The Blanket Scarf

The blanket scarf has gained great attention this season. Most notably through the effects of Burberry's poncho's which have been swept up by celebrities such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Rosie Huntington Whiteley and Olivia Palermo.  I've had a number of emails lately over this trend, mainly to create a casual yet chic look using a blanket scarf or "Blarf" as its been recently nicknamed.

The Staple Coat For Autumn Winter

coats 2014

A Touch Of Romance

Autumn Winter Fashion Week for 2014 saw the return of Renaissance and Baroque romantic inspiration in a big way. It's one of my favourite trends this season particularly as the colour palette is extremely easy to wear and extremely sophisticated - think rich royal colours from wines, emerald greens, golds and lacey black numbers to instantly channel a designer look this season.
